An Act to Provide for the Completion of the Winthrop Normal and Industrial College of South Carolina, and to Appropriate Money for the Same.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, That to provide accommodations for the great overflow of South Carolina girls, applying annually from every county in the State for admission to the Winthrop Normal and Industrial College of Rock Hill, the only institution maintained by the State for the higher education and training of her girls, and failing to gain admission for lack of dormitory room, the sum of thirty-five thousand dollars be, and the same is hereby, appropriated, to be expended under the direction of the Board of Trustees in carrying out the purposes of this Act.

Sec 2 That this Act take effect and be in full force from and after its passage; and all Acts and parts of Acts inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed.
