A Joint Resolution to Empower the School Trustees of School District No. 16, Fairfield County, to Sell Certain School Property and to Reinvest in Other School Property.

Acts and Joint Resolutions of the General Assembly of South Carolina 1899, Page 182.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, That the School Trustees of School District No. 16 of Fairfield County be, and they are hereby, authorized and empowered to sell that certain lot of land, situated within the corporate limits of Ridgeway, in said county, known as the Ridgeway High School lot, and to use the proceeds of such sale in aid of the erection of a public school building by the said town of Ridgeway.

Sec 2. That no levy for school purposes other than provided in the Constitution of the State shall be made by the said School Trustees within the said town of Ridgeway.

Approved the 26th Day of January, A.D. 1899.
