An Act to Regulate the Election of the Trustees of the Clemson Agricultural College of South Carolina.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, That three of the six trustees of "The Clemson Agricultural College of South Carolina" provided by law to be elected by the General Assembly of South Carolina, who shall be elected by the General Assembly at the present session, shall serve for the term of two years, and three of said trustees shall serve for the term of four years, from the commencement of their terms and until their successors shall be elected, and the said six trustees, immediately after their election, shall cast lots to determine which three of said trustees shall serve for the term of two years and which three shall serve for the term of four years. That hereafter every two years the General Assembly shall elect in joint assembly three trustees for said college, who shall serve for the term of four years and until their successors shall be elected and shall qualify.

Section 2. All Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed.

Section 3. This Act shall take effect immediately upon its approval by the Governor.
