An Act to Amend an Act Entitled "An Act to Charter the Elloree Graded School District, in Orangeburg Counyt," so as to Change the Boundaries Thereof.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That Section two of an Act entitled “An Act to charter Elloree Graded School District, in Orangeburg County,” approved January 4, 1894, be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding thereto the following, saving and excepting from the said square a section, as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner, go East one mile, thence North in a line parallel with the Western boundary, until it intersects the new public road to Orangeburg County, known as the new road, thence Westwardly along said road until it intersects the Western boundary of the aforesaid square. So that the said Section will read:

"Section 2. The limits of said school district shall be as follows: A line drawn from the centre of the crossing of Cleveland and Main streets, in the town of Elloree, due North two and one-half miles long; also a line due South two and a half miles long, another East two and one-half miles. With these lines as diameters construct a Square whose sides shall each be five miles long, saving and excepting from the said square a section as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner, go East one mile, thence North in a line parallel with the Western boundary until it intersects the new public road to Orangeburg County, known as the new road, thence Westwardly along said road until it intersects the Western boundary of the aforesaid square."

Sec. 2. That the Trustees of the Elloree Graded School be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to pay over to the Trustees of Hickory Grove School such taxes as may be collected from the taxpayers in the said excepted territory during the present fiscal year.
