An Act to Amend an Act Entitled "An Act to Create a New School District Within the Township of Barnwell, in Barnwell County, to be Known as 'The Barnwell Graded School District,' and to Authorize the Levy and Collection of a Local Tax Therein."

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That Section 8 of an Act entitled “An Act to create a new school district within the township of Barnwell, in Barnwell County, to be known as ‘The Barnwell Graded School District,' and to authorize the levy and collection of a local tax therein,” be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding at the end of said Section the words “which warrants shall be countersigned by the Chairman and by one of the members of said Board elected by the said Board for that purpose.” So that said Section as amended shall read as follows:

"Section 8. The County Treasurer of the County of Barnwell shall hold all moneys arising from the Constitutional school tax and poll tax to which said school district may be entitled under the general provisions of this Act, subject to the warrant of the Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of said school district, which warrant shall be countersigned by the Chairman and by one of the members of said Board elected by said Board for that purpose."
