An Act to Amend an Act Entitled "An Act to Enable and Authorize the School District of the City of Spartanburg to Issue Bonds for the Purpose of Building Public School Houses in the City of Spartanburg."

Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That Section 3 of an Act entitled "An Act to enable and authorize the School District of the City of Spartanburg to issue bonds for the purpose of building public school houses in the city of Spartanburg," approved on the 24th day of December, 1887, be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding the following to the end of the 3d Section: "That said bonds shall not be taxable for County or municipal purposes." So that said 3d Section shall read as follows:

"Section 3. That the said School District of the city of Spartanburg is hereby declared to be a body corporate for the purpose of issuing said bonds, and when issued they shall be signed by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, shall run for a period of thirty years, their coupons shall he receivable for all taxes in said school district, and they shall constitute a first lien upon all property which may be improved from their proceeds. That said bonds shall not be taxable for County or municipal purposes.
