Act to Allow the State Superintendent of Education to Use Certain Funds for the Purpose of Conducting Normal Institutes During the Year 1883.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That the sum of fifteen hundred (1,500) dollars be, and the same is hereby, appropriated out of the funds now in the State Treasury which were received from the fund arising under Section 3 of an Act entitled "An Act to establish the Charleston Charitable Association of the State of South Carolina for the benefit of the Free School fund," approved March 8, 1871, and from the fund arising under Joint Resolution No. 102, approved February 9th, 1882, for the purpose of aiding in conducting Normal Institutes during the year 1883, under the supervision of the said State Superintendent of Education.

Sec. 2. That said sum of money shall be paid by the State Treasurer on the order of the State Superintendent of Education upon the warrant of the Comptroller General, and the said State Superintendent of Education shall account for the proper disbursement thereof by filing proper vouchers with the Comptroller General before the meeting of the General Assembly in November, 1883.
