An Act to Amend an Act Entitled "An Act to Re-Charter the Newberry College of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of South Carolina and Adjacent States," Approved February 14, 1878, so as to Exempt Teachers and Pupils from Road Duty.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That an Act entitled "An Act to re-charter the Newberry College of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of South Carolina and adjacent States,” approved February 14, 1878, be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding thereto the following as Section three: “That the teachers employed in said College and the students in attendance upon the exercise of the same as pupils, be, and they are hereby, declared exempt from all duty in the working and repairing of the streets of the town of Newberry or the public roads of the County of Newberry."

SEC. 2. That Section three of said Act be numbered as Section four.
