SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre sentatives of the State of South Carolina, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That the Act entitled “An Act to provide for the establishment of two new School Districts in the County of Fairfield, and to authorize the levy and collection of a special school tax therein,” approved 23d December, 1879, be amended in the first Section thereof by striking out the words “having the Monticello Academy as a centre, and embracing an area not exceeding five miles square,” and inserting the following: “Having such area and locations as are included within the following lines as boundaries: 'South from Kincaid’s Bridge to Hughey’s Ferry; west from Hughey’s Ferry to the mouth of Pole Branch; north from Pole Branch to Hutchison’s Spring, thence along the public road to William Bell’s; east from William Bell’s along the course of Lick Creek to Little River, down to Kincaid’s Bridge.’ ”

SEC. 2. That the said School District shall have the power to levy on all real and personal property returned in such district a tax not exceeding three mills on the dollar, subject to the provisions contained in the Act referred to in Section one (1) of this Act.
