An Act to Prohibit County Treasurers from Charging Commissions on School Funds Paid Out by Them.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre sentatives of the State of South Carolina, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That from and after the passage of this Act, any County Treasurer who shall demand or receive any commissions for paying out the school funds paid out by him from the person charged with receiving them, or shall charge any person commissions on the same, the County Treasurer so offending shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, on conviction, shall be fined not less than fifty dollars for each such offense, or be imprisoned for a period not less than three months.

SEC. 2. All Acts or parts of Acts in conflict with this Act be, and the same are hereby, repealed.
