An Act to Provide for the Speedy Apportionment of State Appropriations, Made for the Support and Maintenance of Free Common Schools.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Represenstives of the State of South Carolina, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That the State Superintendent of Education be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered, if, in his judgment, the exigencies of the case require, to apportion to the several Counties of the State any State appropriation made for the support and maintenance of Free Common Schools, within fifteen (15) days after said appropriation shall have been made.

Sec. 2. That this Act shall take immediate effect.
