An Act to Exempt Teachers and Students from the Performance of Road Duty.

The Statutes at Large of South Carolina, Volume XII, Pages 711-712.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That the Students of the several Schools, Academies and Colleges of this State, and Professors of all institutions of learning, Teachers of every kind, and School Masters, shall be, and they are hereby, exempted from the performance of road duty.

In the Senate House, the twenty-second day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-nine, and in the eighty-fourth year of the sovereignty and independence of the United States of America.
