An Act to Increase the Number of the Commissioners of Free Schools for the Lexington District.

December 21, 1857

The Statutes at Large of South Carolina, Volume XII, Page 522.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That the number of Commissioners of Free Schools for Lexington District be increased to thirteen instead of twelve, the number now allowed by law.

In the Senate House, the twenty-first day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-seven, and in the eighty-second year of the sovereignty and independence of the United States of America.
