An Act to Increase the Number of the Commissioners of Free Schools for Lexington District.

The Statutes at Large of South Carolina - Volume VI, Page 552

I. Be it enacted, by the Senate and House of Representatives, now met and sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That the number of commissioners of free schools for Lexington District, be increased, to twelve, instead of five, the number now allowed by law.

In the Senate House, the twenty-first day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty-six, and in the sixty-first year of the Sovereignty and Independence of the United States of America.
