Champion Fibre Company operated narrow gauge railroads for logging in western North Carolina, primarily in Clay County, Graham County, and Haywood County.

Their lines in Graham County connected to the Buffalo & Snowbird Railroad, which connected with the Graham County Railroad at Robbinsville - taking their lumber to Topton to pick up the Southern Railway.

Their lines in Haywood County connected to the Southern Railway at Waynesville and Hazlewood.

Their lines in Clay County connected to the Tennessee & North Carolina Railroad just west of Hayesville.
