Resolution Authorizing the Governor to Furnish Arms to the Franklin Military School, in Duplin County.

Private Laws of the State of North Carolina Passed in 1858-59 - Pages 396-397.

Resolved, That his excellency the governor shall be authorized and required to furnish Richard W. Millard and C. B. Denson. or to the trustees of the Franklin Scientific and Military School, in the county of Duplin, such portion of the public arms as may be necessary for the use of said school, not exceeding sixty-five stand. But before delivering such arms he shall take a bond with two good securities in double the appraised value of the arms, conditioned for the safe keeping, cleaning and returning thereof when said school shall cease to exist or the governor shall direct.

Ratified the 8th day of January, 1859.
