Resolution Directing the President and Directors of the Literary Board to Enquire into the Practicability and Expediency of Draining Certain Lands in Carteret County, and for Other Purposes.

Laws of the State of North Carolina Passed in 1850-1851 - Page 520.

Resolved, That the President and Directors of che Literary Board be directed to enquire into the practicability and expediency of draining certain lands in Carteret County, known as the open ground Prarie; and should they deem it advantageous to do so, to commence the draining of said lands; and for that purpose five thousand dollars are hereby appropriated from the Literary Fund.
