Resolution to Authorize the President and Directors of the Literary Fund to Loan Three Thousand Dollars to Chowan Female Institute.

Laws of the State of North Carolina Passed in 1850-1851 - Pages 505-506.

Resolved, That the President and Directors of the Literary Fund be authorized to loan to the "Chowan Female Institute," the sum of three thousand dollars, out of any moneys not otherwise appropriated, when the Trustees of said Institute shall give bond and sufficient security for safety of said loau, and the payment of the interest semi-annually; when the President and Directors of the Literary Fund shall have on hand that amount of money uninvested, or not required for the purpose of common schools.
