The Laws of North Carolina of 1813 - Page 38

BE it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That any ten of the trustees of the said Academy, or the President and any six, shall constitute a board, which shall be fully competent to do and perform any act which a majority were authorized to do by the provisions of said Act; any law to the contrary notwithstanding.
