Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the Trustees of the Nutbush Mineral Spring Academy, on the lands of John Sims, in the county of Warren, be authorized to raise a sum of money not exceeding one thousand dollars by a Lottery or Lotteries, to be appropriated to the use and benefit of said Academy.

II. And be it further enacted, That the said Trustees shall appoint five persons as managers, whose duty it shall be to superintend the said lottery or lotteries, and who, before they enter upon the discharge of their duties; shall give bond and security in the County Court of Warren, in such a sum as shall be fixed by said Court, for the due performance of their trust.
