An Act Authorizing the Trustees of Vine Hill Academy, in the County of Halifax, to Raise by Lottery the Sum of Five Hundred Dollars.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the trustees of the Vine Hill Academy for the time being, shall be, and they are hereby authorized and empowered to raise by lottery, and such scheme or schemes as they think most adviseable, a sum not exceeding five hundred dollars, under special confidence that the same shall be appropriated to the use and benefit of the said Academy.

II. And be it further enacted, That the said lottery or lotteries shall be conducted and drawn, under the superintendence and direction of such person or persons, at such time or times, and under such rules, regulations and restrictions, as they the said trustees may deem most beneficial to the interests of the said institution.
