5th U.S. Congress (1797-1799)
The 5th U.S. Congress met in three sessions: 1) May 15, 1797 to July 10, 1797; 2) November 13, 1797 to July 16, 1798; and 3) December 3, 1798 to March 3, 1799. Two Special Sessions were held, the first on March 4, 1797, and the second fro July 17th to July 19th in 1798.
