The 48th U.S. Congress met in two sessions: 1) December 3, 1883 to July 7, 1884; and 2) December 1, 1884 to March 3, 1885. Due to the results of the 1880 U.S. Census, North Carolina was authorized to send nine (9) delegates to the U.S. House of Representatives. All North Carolina Districts were redrawn as of March 3, 1883. |
