The 27th U.S. Congress met in three sessions: 1) May 31, 1841 to September 13, 1841; 2) December 6, 1841 to August 31, 1842; and 3) December 5, 1842 to March 3, 1843. A Special Session was convened from March 4th to March 15th in 1841.
