1st U.S. Congress (1789-1791)

The 1st U.S. Congress met in three sessions: 1) March 4, 1789 to September 29, 1789; 2) January 4, 1790 to August 12, 1790; and 3) December 6, 1790 to March 3, 1791.

North Carolina ratified the U.S. Constitution on November 21, 1789.
