North Carolina in the 2000s

North Carolina State Senate

2013-2014

The First Session of this General Assembly met from January 9th to July 26th in 2013. The Second Session met from May 14th to August 20th in 2014. An Extra Session was convened from September 3rd to September 4th in 2013.

The previous NC General Assembly reapportioned the State Senate districts based upon the 2010 U.S. Census, effective this term. The number of Senate districts remained at fifty (50), but the composition of some districts was altered, as shown in the map (Click Here).

The number of Senators remained at fifty (50) - therefore, each district continued to have only one (1) Senator.
